The 16,000-square-foot building is located next to the LCTCS Administrative Headquarters, a historic building which was constructed in the 1930’s in mid-City Baton Rouge.  On its public face, the building is designed as a Conference and Training Center, with a transparent two-story lobby that enjoys wonderful views of an oak-shaded lawn. Behind the scenes, the facility is an emergency shelter, housing a data center with fully redundant power and mechanical systems, showers, and a large and versatile catering kitchen.
