Primarily in response to the site, the home turned sideways, similar to a Charleston “side porch” home to create a front courtyard large enough to accommodate a large pool and gathering space that would provide views to the lake from all parts of the home, while maintaining visual privacy by lifting the home and courtyard high above the street.   As seen throughout the French Quarter, elements of French and Spanish influence are blended seamlessly throughout this unique home.
