In 1992 Chris founded the residential architecture firm Chris G. Remson, AIA, Architect, a sole proprietorship which would later become Remson Haley Herpin Architects. Under his guidance RHH has grown to serve a broad roster of public and commercial clients who all now experience the same “high-touch” level of service that RHH residential clients have enjoyed since the firm’s inception.
As Principal in Charge of Design for RHH his primary role is that of chief designer on all projects undertaken by the firm, translating clients’ hopes and dreams into reality. At every point along the way, he is also responsible for setting and maintaining the high level of design quality and craft that have become hallmarks of the RHH brand.
In addition to his design duties, Chris shapes the business practices of the firm, and along with his partners, provides leadership and mentoring throughout RHH. He takes great pride in both the award-winning RHH product and in the close-knit RHH corporate culture that he has helped foster.
Creating beautiful solutions to solve practical problems attracted Chris to Architecture; the limitless possibilities for shaping uplifting environments as well as the precise merging of art, science, and craft. The same philosophy attracts Chris to boats and automobiles in his spare time, and he is as particular in his hobbies as he is in his work. Additionally, he enjoys the complexities of the real estate development process and has been involved in creating private development projects throughout his career.
